His tenacity was the key to the urbanization of the hillside and to overcome the mountain\u2019s unevenness, he devised the construction of blue tramway and a funicular railway that would go up to the top of the <strong>Sacred Heart on Tibidabo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On this route we will be able to visit with the help of our expert guide in the history of this part of the city, walking along the Avenida del Tibidabo, also known as the <strong>Avenida del Doctor Andreu<\/strong>, the magnificent modernist mansions and all the secrets they hide. From the Andreu Tower, passing through the Casa Muntades de Puig i Cadafalch, a fantastic modernist house-garden &#8211; inspired by the Catalan Baroque &#8211; which gives it the character of a rural farmhouse, until you reach the top of <strong>Tibidabo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We start at Plaza <strong>Kennedy<\/strong> , with its history and the building <strong>of La Rotonda<\/strong>, whose real name is <strong>La Torre Andreu<\/strong> , built for the wealthy pharmacist in 1906 by <strong>Adolf Ruiz i Casaimtjana<\/strong>, later renovated by Enric Sagnier who commissioned the mosaic tower to the artist LLuis Bru. It belongs to <strong>the &#8220;Modernisme Route&#8221;<\/strong> which includes more than a hundred buildings in Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Enric Sagnier<\/strong> , an architect who proliferated, built numerous commissions from the Catalan nobility and the Church, more than 300. In Tibidabo he built the <strong>Casa Evarist Arn\u00fas<\/strong> , also known as <strong>El Pinar<\/strong>, a neo-Gothic style mansion, which seems to re-emerge like a fairytale castle when illuminated at night and the <a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Templo_Expiatorio_del_Sagrado_Coraz%C3%B3n\">Expiatory Temple of the Sacred Heart<\/a> culminating the Tibidabo mountain.
