FLY TO MALLORCA TO VISIT SÓLLER, PROBABLY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL TOWN ON THE ISLAND

Sóller is atown in the Balearic Islands, located on the northwest coast of the island of Mallorca. It comprises seven population centres, which are Sóller, Puerto de Sóller, L’Horta, Biniaraix, Es Estiradors, Ses Argiles and S’Alqueria des Comte. And it is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Spain.

The best way to enter is the wooden train that crosses mountains and beautiful landscapes, and reaches the center of the town. Then, pStroll through its historic centre and you will immediately feel transported to other times. This village has been inhabitedby such important people as the Archduke Ludwig Salvator who claimed to be the most beautiful on the island.

The name Sóller comes from the Arabic wordsuliar‘, which means golden bowl, a very apt name to describe the fertile valley of orange trees that surrounds it.

In the architecture of this place, the works carried out by Joan Rubid stand out, a disciple of Gaudí, the Church of San Bartomeu and the bank of Sóller. The French-influenced palaces are also excellent. And a visit to the Can Prunera Art Nouveau Museum and the Sa Fàbrica de Gelats ice cream parlour is a must.
