Pamplona and Ernest Hemingway are closely linked due to the American writer’s relationship with San Fermin and his most famous work, Fiesta (The Sun also Rises) published in 1926. For lovers of literature and cinema and of course those who are attracted by the festivities of San Fermin, a festival held in honor of the patron saint of the city, San Fermin from 6 to 14 July. At that time the running of the bulls was already part of the tradition, although they were not as internationally recognized as they are today.
The Hemingway Route: In Pamplona we make with our guide a literary route that takes you to the most emblematic places related to Hemingway, such as Café Iruña or the Hotel La Perla, where he stayed, but also other places not so well known.
