WHAT IS BIOSPHERE?
The Institute for Responsible Tourism (ITR) is an independent organization with an international presence that has been promoting responsible tourism internationally for more than 20 years, helping all agents in the tourism sector to develop a new way of traveling and getting to know our Planet.
It is an affiliate member of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and a founding member of the World Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
In addition, it has a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Through the Responsible Tourism System (STR), the ITR promotes sustainability from a global and inclusive perspective.
It focuses on the measures that the tourism sector should and can take to achieve sustainable and inclusive tourism that fights climate change.
